Children: None. Home: Ranelagh.

Most important life event: Birth of my brothers and sisters which taught me tolerance, patience and how to eat fast.

Biggest business break: My boss resigning, although through no fault of my own, after three months in my first job.

Biggest business mistake: Failing to check my slides for a public presentation and not noticing an extra slide my colleagues had added. I then found myself in full flow with a slide featuring a row of naked men behind me.

Time of getting up: 7 a.m. unless I am travelling to Cork, London or Amsterdam.

Time of finishing work: Between 6 p.m. and 7 p.m., but this is usually wishful thinking.

Favourite breakfast: I only have breakfast at the weekend when it's fresh coffee and bagels.

Form of exercise: I walk to work when in Dublin and stay in a hotel with a swimming pool when away. I like to go diving when I've the chance to add some extra enjoyment to my exercise.

Holidays: I love travelling and like to get as much diversity as possible so I rarely travel to the same location twice. Notable exceptions being skiing in France and diving in the Red Sea.

Favourite TV programme: My schedule does not allow for regular viewing, but I like to catch Fraser, Friends and South Park.

Favourite radio programme: No apologies for the British connection. The Today programme on Radio 4 which allows me catch up on the news.

Commuting time: A 25-minute walk to work.

Favourite airline: Aer Lingus as I use the airline about three times a week.

Favourite bank: Ulster Bank, but I have had no experience of the other banks.

Favourite tipple: You'd expect me to say one of Murphy's lagers, like Heineken, Ireland's number one lager. Or else Coors or Amstel - two of Ireland's fastest growing brands.

Favourite pub: No regular pub, but there are so many great venues to enjoy in Dublin.

Favourite restaurant: There is still lots for me to try out. I like Fitzers in Dublin and Metzos in London.

How do you spend your free time: I like to relax with a good book or newspaper and catch up with all domestic chores I've missed during the week.

Person you most admire: My father, who while he succeeded in work and his private life he retained humility, a sense of humour and fairness.

Dying words: "It's been a good innings."
