Newmarket Information directors may have to consider a management buy out just two years after they sold the Irish construction information company to British media and travel group Thompson.

Thompson has sold its British construction information business Glenigan and its British units to media group EMAR The group also has an option, thought to be for several weeks, to buy Newmarket. Newmarket, which employs 14 people, had pre tax profits of £56,000 on sales of £546,000 in the year to December 31st.
