CONNACHT & Court, one of the country's biggest linen supply companies, is to set up a plant in Spiddal, Co Galway, which will supply sterile clothing and anti static garments for the pharmaceuticals, healthcare and microelectronics industries.
The plant will be set up by Connacht & Court's MicroClean subsidary, and the group expects to reach agreement shortly with Udaras na Gaeltachta to locate in an existing factory in Spiddal. The start up date will be early 1997, and 50 people will be employed in Spiddal, including six who will relocate from Connacht's head office in Galway.
