Arcon International Resources which settled a labour dispute last week, has extended the reserves at its zinc/lead mine at Galmoy, Co Kilkenny. In a new discovery, called K2, good grade mineralisation has been encountered 200 metres from the K ore-body.

Assay results from 10 drill holes show zinc grading from 7.17 per cent to 32.42 per cent. The holes ranged in depth from 3 metres to 5.05 metres. The company has not quantified the new reserves as the drilling is ongoing.
