McInerney Properties chief executive Mr Barry O'Connor has more than doubled his stake in the building company and made a paper gain of nearly €1 million in the process. Mr O'Connor exercised options over 650,000 shares at just under €0.13 each, increasing his stake in the company to 4.14 per cent. With McInerney shares last trading at €1.48, Mr O'Connor's paper profit on the options is €942,000. In a similar exercise, McInerney company secretary Mr Mark Shakespeare made a paper profit of €270,000 after exercising options over 200,000 shares at the same price.
