White Young Green (WYG), a publicly quoted British consulting engineering firm, has acquired Gibson O'Connor (GO'C), a Limerick consulting engineering group, for up to £1 million (€1.27 million). The initial consideration is £700,000 and will be made up of £140,000 cash and the issue of 376,839 ordinary shares in WYG.

There may be a further payment of up to £300,000, linked to targeted earnings. The partners of GO'C - Mr Paul Gibson, Mr Sean O'Connor and Mr Michael O'Sullivan - will become directors of White Young Green Ireland, WYG's Irish subsidiary. The acquisition follows the takeover of Philip Downie and Associates, a Belfast mechanical and electrical consulting firm, last March.
