In a report on July 3rd in Business This Week, it was reported that Mr Maurice O'Kelly and Mr Daniel O'Connor, formerly of Guinness & Mahon, were former directors of a company to which the authorised officer inquiring into the Ansbacher deposits, Mr Gerard Ryan, had been appointed.
Mr O'Kelly and Mr O'Connor were directors of Kentford Securities Ltd from 1979 to 1988. The other directors for the same period were Mr George Crampton and Mr John Williams, of G & T Crampton. Mr O'Kelly has asked for it to be pointed out that Kentford was formed in 1979 to prepare a submission for the Tallaght town centre development, which was unsuccessful and following which he and his fellow directors subsequently resigned.
