ALL recruitment advertising carried in Business This Week each Friday is available on the Internet. The Irish Times On The Web, the World Wide Web edition of The Irish Times, has launched the Appointments Service as part of a major development of its online presence. It is the first national newspaper in the Republic to offer such a service.

The service, which can be accessed at http://recruit.irishtimes.com, is searchable by key word or category and is available from early Sunday. All recruitment advertising carried in the previous Friday's edition is included in the database. The service is aimed at consolidating The Irish Times's position as the market leader in quality recruitment advertising.

The Irish Times On The Web has also launched a free searchable archive. The archive contains all the material carried in the online edition to date beginning January, 1996. It is searchable by key word.

In addition, the web edition has launched a guest book which readers are asked to fill in.

The Irish Times On The Web, which is produced by the newspaper's electronic publishing division, is among the busiest Irish sites. It is read each day by thousands of Irish overseas and those interested in Ireland. Last month it was accessed almost 6.5 million times. The division also produces a daily e-mail edition of the newspaper.
