JETPHONE, the joint venture company established between British Telecom and France Telecom which employs 50 people at Shannon, Co Clare, has won a major contract with Air France. The contract, which is understood to be worth millions of pounds is to provide a passenger telephone service on board 96 Air France short and medium haul aircraft. Jetphone said yesterday that it expected to install its telephone handsets by March 1997. Established in Ireland last year, the company already has contracts with British Airways and SAS.
