Irish specialist lighting manufacturer Nualight has been named in the 2012 Global Cleantech 100 list, a list of the world’s top cleantech companies.

The list, published by the Cleantech Group, received more than 8,000 nominations for companies worldwide.

Nualight chief executive Dr Liam Kelly said the listing was welcome recognition for the company’s ongoing expansion drive. “Nualight is now recognised as a market leader in LED lighting for food retail, both in terms of technology innovation and applications know-how. We welcome this acknowledgement from the global cleantech innovation community.”

Cork-based Nualight is funded by Climate Change Capital, ESB Novus Modus, 4th Level Ventures and the Quinn retail family. Customers include the Co-operative Group, Tesco, Morrisons and Marks & Spencer.
