A chamber of commerce between Ireland and Brazil will be established in Rio de Janeiro.

The announcement was made at a seminar presented by the Federation of the Industries of the State of Rio de Janeiro in Dublin yesterday.

The new chamber will be responsible for developing trade between Brazil and Ireland. Last year, Ireland's exports to Brazil were worth £162 million (€205.7 million) and exports from Brazil to Ireland amounted to £100 million.
