IFI's £175,000 helps develop centre

THE International Fund for Ireland will invest £175,000 in the expansion of the Dundalk Regional Development Centre

THE International Fund for Ireland will invest £175,000 in the expansion of the Dundalk Regional Development Centre. The centre is located in the grounds of Dundalk Regional Technical College and the total cost of the expansion is £705,000. The latest allocation brings to £640,000 the amount the International Fund has invested in the centre.

Contributors to the expansion include Dundalk RTC, IFI, the Department of Education, Forbairt and private industry.

The regional development centre was established in 1989 to encourage industrial and commercial development in the north east. The core service provided is the availability of 1,000 sq m of incubation facilities for the development of technology and knowledge based enterprises.
