The Industrial Development Board (IDB), Northern Ireland's equivalent of IDA Ireland, has expressed optimism about the future, but in its annual report the agency records a 24 per cent decline in the number of jobs it helped create.

The IDB also expressed regret that some areas may feel it had not done enough to encourage local job creation, and gave a commitment to promote employment across all parts of the North.
