Based in Belfast, the Lagan Group has been associated with the quarrying and construction industries for 30 years and has been involved in cement importing and concrete production for 15 years.

It runs an integrated quarrying, asphalt and bitumen emulsion plant at Ballycoolin in Blanchardstown, Co Dublin and also owns two building materials firms Kingscourt Brick in Co Cavan and Flemings Fireclays in Athy, Co Kildare.

The group employs over 500 people, including 150 in the Republic. Last year its turnover exceeded £72 million.
