Glen Dimplex, the privately owned electronics company, has announced the appointment of Mr Sean O'Driscoll as group chief executive.

Mr O'Driscoll, formerly a partner with KPMG, joined Glen Dimplex in 1990 and was appointed deputy chief executive and finance director in April, 1996.
