Fyffes, the Dublin-based fruit group, reports full year figures on tomorrow, Greatest interest is likely to be generated by updates on its tie-up with Capespan to importing into Europe from South Africa. Analysts will be keen to find out what benefits are expected from the Capespan deal, completed last month.

Pre-tax profits are set to come in around €86 million (£67.7 million), up about 9 per cent on 1998, with earnings per share of around 18.5 cents, up 12 per cent.

Updates on the progress of its planned Internet fruit and produce wholesaling project will also be sought, especially by investors looking for some sign of reasonable growth in the share price.
