THE Pandoro shipping line has sought a High Court injunction to prevent the Irish Road Haul age Association from fixing a price increase for its 1,000 members. The hearing is due next week, with Pandoro claiming the IRHA has breached the Competition Act by illegally trying to fix haulage prices.
The threatened injunction follows a swoop by the Competition Authority on the IRHA's Dublin offices recently as part of its investigation into alleged pricefixing allegations.
Officers from the Competition Authority are continuing to examine specific documents seized from the IRHA in their search for evidence of a possible price fixing regime.
