Aviation firms are well represented on the short-list for this year's Chartered Accountants' Published Accounts Awards with Aer Lingus, Aer Rianta and Ryanair among the 10 contenders for the main award.

Other companies to make the short-list include Jefferson Smurfit, Bord na Mona, IWP, ESB, Boxmore, CRH and Ulster Bank.

There are three other categories in the competition, including one for companies with a turnover of less than £100 million, one for charities and one for not-for-profit organisations.

The winners of the awards, which are organised by the Leinster Society of Chartered Accountants, will be announced in Dublin on November 23rd.
