A Co Fermanagh company has announced a Pounds 3.2 million investment aimed at increasing its business in Britain and the Republic.
The expansion by Fisher Engineering, owned by the rally driver Bertie Fisher, is expected to create 25 new jobs at its factory in Ballinamallard over the next three years.
The company was set up in the early 1950s and employs around 100 people in the manufacture and installation of structural steelwork. Mr Fisher said the money would be used to build new manufacturing facilities and to buy equipment.
"Our competitive advantage comes from being able to offer clients complete in-house facilities for the design, fabrication, and erection of structural steel-work," he said.
"This investment will increase our ability to compete for further contracts by improving our process design, and giving us greater efficiencies in our fabrication work."
The expansion is being backed by a grant of Pounds 500,000 from the IDB.
