First Active has re-introduced its Capital Investment Bond in response to current economic uncertainties. The with-profit bond is a single-premium savings plan that invests in the Friends First with-profit fund.

With-profit funds usually combine equities and fixed-income investments, and can offer a lower rate of risk than other funds. On a minimum investment of £5,000 (€6,349), investors in the Capital Investment Bond can choose an investment term of between five and 20 years. A management charge of 0.5 per cent applies.
