THE three executive directors of Tullow Oil increased their combined salaries by 38 per cent since 1994. The salaries rose from £217,373 in 1994 to £300,124 in 1995, according to the group's annual report.
The average, which excludes benefits in kind (£26,400 for the three) and pension contributions, amounts to £100,041, up from £72,458. The managing director, Mr Aidan Heavey, would have received more than the average. The other executive directors are Dr Duilio Ciriani, exploration director, and Mr Mathew Maher, finance director and company secretary.
The fees paid to the three non executive directors, including chairman Mr Tom Toner, increased from £20,000 to £37,000. The average fee amounted to £12,333 in 1995. The report said Rohan Courtney and Partners received management consultancy fees of £54,352 in 1995. Mr Rohan Courtney, a non-executive director of Tullow, has an interest in Rohan Courtney and Partners.
