Eircell has begun selling products and services online through its new Eirshop. It allows customers to browse, choose and purchase Ready to Go mobile phones and phone accessories. In addition customers can top up their Ready to Go call-credit online.

"Organisations like Eircell must now implement new strategies in order to meet this shift towards the electronic economy," said Mr Ciaran Carey, Eircell e-commerce manager.

AIB and Eircell are also working together to deliver Mobile Banking, which allows customers instant access to their banking details wherever they are. An ATM Top Up service, developed in association with Bank of Ireland, allows Ready to Go customers with Bank of Ireland accounts to use their PASS cards to add call credit to the company's mobile products.
