The High Court has appointed an accountant, Mr Tom Kavanagh, as interim examiner to eHost Europe Ltd and eHost Group Ltd, Haigh Terrace, D·n Laoghaire, which provide e-business consultancy services and networking and security services. The companies employ 50 people.

In court yesterday, Mr Lyndon MacCann, for the companies, told Ms Justice Carroll this was a classic case of a good business idea that was over-expanded. In the petition, it was stated that, in the event of liquidation, that there would be a deficit of £1.67 million (€2.12 million) in the case of eHost Europe Ltd and £40,300 in relation to eHost Group Ltd.
