A new academic centre for e-commerce and virtual organisations is to be established next month at UCD's Graduate Business School.

The centre will be initially funded by Cambridge Technology, the international consulting and systems integration partnership, which employs 100 people in Dublin. It will be the first academic body in Ireland to research and provide "state of the nation" reports with regard to e-commerce.
