THIS WEEK looks set to bring even more bad news on the state of the economy, with live register figures expected to show that the dole queues grew even longer last month, and exchequer returns likely to reveal a deepening budget deficit.
Meanwhile, the European Central Bank (ECB) is expected to leave interest rates on hold when it meets on Thursday.
Market commentators expect that borrowers will have to wait until the first quarter of next year, at the earliest, for a drop in interest rates.
