Des O'Meara & Partners has won the Forfas EMU Business Awareness account after competing with five agencies. It will devise a campaign to inform companies how to prepare for the euro. Adept Advertising handles the public information campaign for the Euro Changeover Board.

DDFH&B will lose the Goodfellas pizza brand following a review by Green Isle Foods. The agency, which has had the business for five years, has not been asked to pitch to retain the account. It is believed three UK agencies have been approached for a business worth about £2 million.

Ryanair will introduce all-inclusive advertising on February 1st - one month before the legislation covering airline advertising comes into effect.

A significant loophole in the legislation means there is no standardisation of type size and Ryanair will take full advantage of the omission.

It says it will "continue to add a banner to each advertisement, highlighting the disproportionate level of Irish and UK government taxes".

Whether this adds to the much hoped-for transparency in airline advertising remains to be seen.
