DANA Petroleum has completed the drilling of three further oil production wells in its South Vat Yoganskoye oil field in western Siberia. Oil sands were encountered and the new wells are being flow tested. The first well flowed at 1,000 barrels per day.
Dana has a 50 per cent stake in the oil field. The remainder is held by a group of Russian oil companies, led by LUKoil. The latest drilling brings the number of wells up to seven, six of which are development wells and one is an appraisal well.
