Lakeland Dairies has formed a strategic joint venture with Burt Lewis International, a Chicago-based niche food ingredients business.

Lakeland said the move aimed to add value to its existing food ingredient sales and to establish Lakeland as a niche sourcing agent for specialist dairy product supply into the US marketplace.
