One of the world's largest fund managers, Credit Suisse Asset Management, believes the prospects will remain bright for the Irish economy for some time. Addressing a conference in Dublin this week, the company suggests the economy can continue to grow strongly for some time, and despite some overheating in the property market it insists there is no sign of a hard landing. Meanwhile its telecomm unications analyst, Mr Dean Tenerelli, is very positive about Eircom's prospects. Mr Tenerelli suggests that the company is well-positioned for the future and predicts that one of the major European players, such as British Telecom or Deutsche Telekom may take a stake in the company sooner rather than later. His advice to shareholders is to hold onto their stock for the moment.
