Turnover in the Paul Costelloe division of Silk Industries is up on the previous period and new retail outlets are being evaluated, the British clothing company said in an a.g.m. statement yesterday.
Silk, which acquired designer Paul Costelloe's United Fashion design business in 1997, has suffered disruption in its businesses due to the strength of sterling and the disruption of supply schedules. It made a loss of £1.9 million on a £20.9 million turnover in the 14 months to April, incurring a £1.7 million restructuring charge.
