AIM-listed Conroy Diamonds & Gold is paying its chairman, Prof Richard Conroy, £350,000 (€444,000) for "information, knowledge and expertise" related to the group's licences in Finland.

The payment is being made to Conroy plc, a company controlled by Prof Conroy.

Separately, Conroy has reported a new gold discovery in Co Armagh, 6.5 kilometres from its initial discovery across the border in Co Monaghan.
