While on the subject of Irish Life, what's going to happen to Kredietbank's 4 per cent stake in Irish Life & Permanent, now that the common link between the two companies has been severed with KB's buyout of IL&P's minority stakes in Irish Intercontinental Bank and Irish Life Homeloans. It's hard to see a group like KB holding on to such a small stake in IL&P purely as an investment, so that 4 per cent stake might be a bit of an overhang on the share price until KB unloads it to institutional investors.
