Over €3m for Naas site with potential

A SITE OF 2.61 hectares (6.45 acres) with potential for a housing development at Sallins Road in Naas has come on the market through DTZ Sherry Fitz-Gerald with an asking price of over €3 million.

The land is zoned "to provide for new leisure and amenity facilities" but, because of its location in the centre of the heavily developed Oldtown Demesne, it seems inevitable that it too will end up in residential use.

Housing densities in the area are generally around 14 units per acre. Laura Somers of DTZ says that the lands "provide for a natural extension of the town" because of their strategic location.

She believes that the site has development potential in the medium term.
