Naas town centre site with approval for 20 homes seeks €1.5m

Planning permission provides for 12 houses and block of eight apartments on Main Street

Agent Coonan Property is guiding €1.5 million for a site in Naas town centre with full planning permission for the development of 20 residential units.

Located on the Limerick Road (R445), the site offers the prospective purchaser the opportunity to deliver a mix of one-, two- and three-bedroom townhouses and apartments. The approved scheme provides for the demolition of an existing derelict two-storey house and outbuildings, and the construction of 11 three-storey houses, one single-storey house and a four-storey block of eight apartments.

The development will also include the provision of 11 car parking spaces, a new boardwalk along the nearby stream, and associated landscaping and site works including a part of the public green space to the north/east of the site, which is in the ownership of Kildare County Council.

The property will be offered for sale by public auction in Lawlor’s Hotel, Naas on April 12th.

Naas is the largest urban centre in Co Kildare with a population of more than 21,000 residents. The town continues to grow across its residential, business and leisure sectors, and is well served by an extensive range of shops, cafes, restaurants, pubs, hotels and medical facilities. There are many successful international companies situated on the periphery of the town including Aldi’s headquarters and the Kerry Group at Millennium Park. There are several schools in the area and the town is serviced by regular bus routes. Nearby Sallins provides a park-and-ride rail service to Heuston station in Dublin, while the M7 is only minutes away from the site, providing easy onward access. The M7/M9 connect the region with Galway, Cork, Limerick, Belfast and other significant locations in only a few hours by road.
