Bantry restaurant for sale

One of the country’s most successful seafood restaurants, O’Connor’s Seafood Restaurant in Bantry, Co Cork, is to be offered for sale as a going concern.

Sherry FitzGerald O’Neill in Clonakilty is quoting €850,000 for the business, which has an exceptionally strong turnover. The three-storey, traditional style building has seating for 50 diners and living accommodation on the second floor. O’Connor’s has developed an all-year-round business and was judged the seafood restaurant of the year in 2009.

Balbriggan farm auction

A well-located, 105-acre farm close to Balbriggan in north Co Dublin is to be offered for sale at auction in November.

James Meagher, of HT Meagher O’Reilly, is guiding between €10,000 and €12,000 an acre for College Farm, at Haystown, four kilometres west of Balbriggan town centre and one kilometre from the M1 motorway. The land has frontage of 1.4 kilometres on to three separate roads in an area where there is already a significant amount of ribbon development.

The auction is to be held in Citynorth Hotel on November 17th.

Wong opens new boutique

Fashion designer Zoe Wong is to open her new boutique business, Horse and June, at 22 Drury Street, Dublin 2.

She will be paying a rent of around €25,000 for the 31sq m (334sq ft) of retail and storage space on the ground floor and in the basement.

Letting agent Brown Corrigan said the fact that they had a number of parties interested in renting the shop underlined the continuing popularity of the street because of its proximity to Grafton Street.

Situs is rated as a special and primary loan servicer by Fitch Ratings and Standard Poor’s and is approved by Moody’s.

Duncan Lyster, a director of Lisney, said that in many instances real estate debt in Ireland required alternative strategies to the traditional solutions and they believed this arrangement presented opportunities for both firms. The collaboration offered “a mix of international best practice spliced to a real property interface”.
