The new tenant is to be the College of Psychiatry of Ireland which is to pay a rent of around €236 per sq m (€22 per sq ft) for 270sq m (2,906sq ft). The lease will run for nine years and 11 months and will include a break option in year five. Kildare site for €600,000
A 6.2-acre site with town centre zoning at Rathangan, Co Kildare, has come on the market on the instructions of Kieran Wallace of KPMG. Mark Reynolds of Savills is seeking €600,000 for the property which has been identified by the planners as suitable for development. Part of it is to be set aside as open space and amenity use. The site has also been the subject of a local area plan and an action area plan which included a detailed planning brief. The Grand Canal and the Slate River run along the boundary of the land, providing a scenic frontage for any new development.
Reynolds says the site is ideal for a local retail centre and traditional housing units.
