Warehouse let at €6 per sq ft
A privately-owned Irish company, Millmount Healthcare, has leased a detached warehouse with an option to purchase at CityNorth Business Campus off the M1 Dublin-Belfast road at Stamullen, Co Meath. The company will be paying a rent of €64.58 per sq m (€6 per sq ft) for the 4,046sq m (43,550sq ft) building. Agent Kelly Walsh handled the letting of the high quality building on a site of 1.23 hectares which has a marshalling area as well as 42 car-parking spaces. There are two levels of offices to the front of the building.
Millmount Healthcare provides packaging and manufacturing services to pharmaceutical, veterinary and healthcare companies in Ireland and Europe. It has two plants, one at Donore Road industrial estate and a second at Marley’s Lane in Drogheda. CityNorth, which also includes a four-star hotel overlooking the M1, was developed by the McGarrell Group. Other new tenants which recently opened on the campus include PRM Group, Focus Scientific Solutions and Simtone Ireland. Kelly Walsh expects to announce the letting of another building shortly.
Louis Mulcahy lease on market
The lease of the Louis Mulcahy shop on Dublin’s Dawson Street has come on the market through agent Savills. Located at the junction of Dawson Street and Molesworth Street, the shop has a retail area of 41sq m (441sq ft) and a basement area of 59sq m (635sq ft). The passing rent is €60,000 per annum. The shop has an attractive Georgian entrance and a striking window frontage.
€10m paid for D1 shops
The Belfast-based Sheridan Group has paid in the region of €10 million for all the retail units in the Parnell Centre, off Parnell Street in Dublin 1. The retail mall adjoins Cineworld, the 17-screen cinema complex, and a multi-storey car-park.
The Sheridan Group originally developed the complex over 10 years ago. Its chairman, Peter Curistan, described the acquisition as the key to giving them control of a significant part of the development. He said Parnell Street is one of the busiest shopping and commercial areas in Dublin. Curistan also signalled that the company expects to make further acquisitions in Dublin.
500,000 for hotel site
Savills has reduced the asking price to €500,000 for a six-acre site with full planning permission for a 100-bed hotel on the edge of Skibbereen, Co Cork. It is about half a mile from the centre of the town and opposite the 18-hole Skibbereen and West Carberry Golf Club.
