A PRIME retail facility in one of Dublin’s best performing motor parks is coming on the property market this week as the HB Dennis Motor Group offers for sale Block B of its Airside Motor Park complex, which is off the M1 near Swords. Shane Redmond Commercial is quoting €4.9 million for the extensive showroom which stands on a site of 1.2 acres.
The motor park adjoins the retail park where the traders include Atlantic Homecare, BQ, PC World, Home Store More, and Harvey Norman.
The motor park is occupied by main dealers representing 15 franchises. Since the upgrading of motorways leading to the M50, Airside Motor Park is within 90 minutes drive of over 60 per cent of Irish motorists, according to Shane Redmond.
Block B of the HB Dennis complex was built in 2004 and comprises the showroom accommodating 20 cars, a nine-bay service area with parts warehouse, management and sales office, training school, canteen and a car valeting area. There is space to display 150 cars. The business currently carried out there will be relocated to one of the group’s adjoining sites in the park.
John Dennis, chief executive of the company, said that many retailers based outside the capital were now seeing a resurgence in new car sales and wanted a showroom in a location guaranteed to attract tens of thousands of customers.
Over 50,000 cars have been sold at Airside since the park opened for business in 2004, said Dennis.
