Cold weather and tensions between the United Nations and Iraq have helped to push world oil prices strongly ahead. Benchmark North Sea Brent blend traded in a narrow range, consolidating the sharp 58 cent rise achieved on Wednesday, and closed at $20.30 a barrel, down just three cents on the day.
