E-street, a provider of online city guides, has raised almost £1 million (€1.27 million) from existing investors, management and some new investors to expand its business. E-street provides consumers with online city guides to London, Bristol and Dublin.
Last month it completed similar guides for Cork, Galway, Limerick and Waterford.
"The financing we are announcing today demonstrates e-street's success in the UK and Ireland," said Ms Alice Nugent, chief executive of e-street.com Ireland.
The company hopes to follow up this most recent fundraising with a further £3 million later this year from institutional investors. This would enable the firm to proceed with its expansion plan, taking in an additional 34 cities in Britain in the next 12 months, she added.
