THE board of CIE is meeting again this morning to discuss cost cutting and job losses at Dublin Bus and Bus Eireann. Today's meeting follows a four-hour meeting yesterday of the 12-person board which discussed proposals for reducing costs at Irish Rail. The savings were recommended by consultant Mr Leslie Buckley in a report for the board. Today's meeting will consider recommendations by consultant Mr Bernard Sommers for cost savings of about £6 million at Bus Eireann.
