The vast majority of chartered accountants believe the Budget will be good for business and for the State, according to a survey by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland (ICAI). But one in three respondents disapproved of the increase in employers' PRSI, while the lack of movement on tax rates and the increases in Vehicle Registration Tax were also unpopular.
More than 80 per cent of those surveyed approved of the changes in corporate tax while 78 per cent approved of the changes in personal taxation.
