GOOD growth in pension and protection business boosted new annual premium income at Canada Life by 7 per cent to £15.2 million for 1995. But new single premium income fell by 9 per cent to £18.5 million.
Within the annual premium business, sales of pensions increased by 24 per cent to £6 million. Within the single premium sales, personal business increased by 33 per cent to £11.8 million. Canada Life is aiming to become one of the top three life assurers in the Irish market, according to general manager Mr Bill Acton. The company is claiming a market share of 7.2 per cent in 1995.
