Louie the Lizard's dastardly tricks won out in the end because the slimy candidate got the majority of the 35,000 votes in Budweiser's spoof election campaign to elect a new star for its commercial.
As part of the £1 million (€1.27 million) promotion, Irish International has now made a new television commercial starring the lizard but the brand's value being what it is, it's safe to predict that the nice guy Budweiser frogs will be back.
