Green Property shares are given a strong recommendation in the latest review of quoted property companies by Merrill Lynch in London.
In its weekly view of the property sector it says that Green could potentially record the best increase in net asset value of all the companies it follows in the sector. This reflects the strong growth in its home economy and its exposure to a number of key projects. Green suffers in Britain because it is not in the FTSE index, the broker says, while diversification by Irish investors away from the home market has also hit the price.
However, Merrill sees the potential for "exceptional price performance" if it can get wider investor recognition.
