A former company director from Co Carlow has been restricted by the High Court from acting as director or secretary of a company for a period of five years, except under certain circumstances.
Ms Justice Carroll made the order against Mr John Keenan, a former director of Dunleckney Limited (in liquidation), a subsidiary of Keenan Brothers Holdings Limited which was wound up in December 1991 and liquidated in January 1993.
The order prevents Mr Keenan acting in any way, either directly or indirectly, as director or secretary, or taking part in the formation of any company, unless that company meets the requirements of the 1990 Companies Act.
At a previous hearing, the court heard that Mr Keenan had failed to file a Statement of Affairs despite a statutory obligation to do so.
Mr Keenan gave no explanation as to why he failed to fulfil his statutory obligation, the judge said.
