Ardagh given the thumbs down by Dolmen

Dolmen Securities has given Ardagh the thumbs down, recommending that investors sell their shares. Ardagh, which enjoys a monopoly position as a producer and distributor of glass bottles in the Republic, will shortly have to contend with competition from the Quinn Group factory in Northern Ireland. That plant is estimated to have enough capacity to supply well in excess of the total demand for glass bottles in the Republic and will certainly put it up to Ardagh. Dolmen suggests investors would be wise to look elsewhere.
