A SENIOR official at troubled Apple Computer has resigned to pursue other interests, the company has announced.

Executive vice president Mr Marco Landi (52) was earlier this month assigned responsibility for sales as part of a restructuring aimed at stemming a slide in sales and market share. The Wall Street Journal reported yesterday that Mr Landi had been unhappy with the change in duties and had expressed concern about the chances of a turnaround at the company.
