Lufthansa Airmotive Ireland has signed a 10-year maintenance agreement, worth $100 million (€100 million), with Ryanair. Lufthansa, which employs 450 people at Rathcoole, Co Dublin, will maintain Ryanair's new Boeing 737 fleet.

Ryanair has already taken delivery of five of the 189-seat aircraft, out of 45, which it is to get over the next four years. Lufthansa already carries out some work for Ryanair.
