AER Lingus is to leave the office it occupies on New York's 42nd Street and move out to the relatively distant shores of Long Island, probably next June. The move has dismayed some Aer Lingus employees for commuting to Manhattan is a good deal more convenient than commuting to Long Island.
Jack Foley, Aer Lingus' executive vice president for North America, said it was regrettable that some disruption would be caused but that was inevitable in any move. He added that, of the 70 people in Aer Lingus's New York office, 37 live on Long Island and were happy with the move. Happily, Mr Foley is one of them.
